About Laura Bland, PA-C

A physician assistant since 2006, Laura Bland PA-C joined Family Practice Associates, P.C. in 2014. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then obtained her Master of Science degree from the Baylor College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Houston, TX.
Thereafter, Laura practiced in Urgent Care and Family Practice in Baytown, TX for nearly 8 years. While she enjoys all aspects of family practice, special interests include diabetes prevention and management, infectious disease, depression and adolescent/young adult care. She enjoys getting to know her patients as individuals, teaching them, and helping facilitate healthy choices to improve their overall wellness and prevent disease.
Laura is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Colorado Association of Physician Assistants.
Laura is married and has two children. She has served on three short-term medical missions to Nicaragua through her church. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, skate skiing, running, swimming, hiking and cooking.
