About Megan Townsend, PA-C

Megan is a Certified Physician Assistant with experience in Dermatology as well as Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. She has been with Flatirons Dermatology since 2013. Megan sees patients across the age spectrum and is capable of treating a broad range of conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. She has a particular interest in pediatric dermatology and is passionate about prevention and early detection of skin cancer and patient education.
Megan grew up in Broomfield and graduated from Broomfield High School. She attended Colorado State University, graduating Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition in 2006. Megan then attended Saint Francis University (Pennsylvania) where she received her Master of Physician Assistant Science. During her studies she received awards for academic, clinical and professional excellence and graduated at the top of her PA class. Megan is an active board member and past-president of the Colorado Academy of PAs. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Colorado Society of Dermatology Professionals. She enjoys the arts, volunteering and spending time with her family on the water and in the mountains around Colorado.
