About Michael Shomaker, MD

Dr. Shomaker joined Colorado Kidney Care in 2007. He trained at Wake Forest University for both residency and fellowship in Nephrology. His interests include managing kidney transplant patients, and in the care of Peritoneal and Hemodialysis patients. Dr. Shomaker also enjoys teaching, and gives numerous lectures on topics such as the medical management of the transplant patient and Fabry's Disease.
He is dedicated to charitable work donating his time to several non-profits, which includes serving on the medical advisory board of the American Transplant Foundation. His outside interests include camping, road biking, and golfing. He is the proud father of two boys and enjoys spending time with his family.
