About Scott Deeney, MD

Scott Deeney, MD, strives to bring a gentle and healing presence to his surgical practice. He explains each procedure in detail to his patients, answers their questions and does his best to make every patient feel comfortable and prepared for surgery. His medical interests include gallbladder surgery, hernia repair with abdominal wall reconstruction, thyroid, parathyroid disease, trauma, skin and soft tissue tumors, foregut/reflux procedures and colorectal procedures. Dr. Deeney is certified in da Vinci® robotic surgery and offers laparoscopic and open surgical options. He works with his patients to offer the method that is safest and provides the quickest recovery.

Dr. Deeney completed his medical education at the University of Minnesota. He was elected Administrative Chief of the general surgery program at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver, and spent two years in basic science research studying in-utero gene therapy and pediatric clinical surgical outcomes, presenting at multiple national conferences and publishing numerous articles.

When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Deeney enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping and skiing with his family.
