In mid-December, the state of Colorado announced it would partner with Centura Health to bring additional clinical staff to our connected ecosystem through the State Staffing Fusion Center. This opportunity is managed by the Colorado Department of Public Safety and funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

This week, Mercy welcomed nine RNs who will support our ICU caregivers by providing patient care on both the night and day shifts. In addition, we also welcomed two respiratory therapists who will provide support during the night shift. They are eager to serve our community and we are so grateful to have their support.

This program was initiated by Colorado Governor Jared Polis in order to open 500 additional beds across our state.  Mercy remains ready and able to care for our communities and we are grateful to these 11 caregivers whose support enables us to increase the number of patients we can serve!

Please join us in welcoming these incredible caregivers to our community!
