Our Services

We offer a full complement of services for those individuals needing treatment and support in either the inpatient or outpatient setting. St. Catherine Hospital - Garden City is the only provider in Finney County offering Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy in the same location.

At evaluation, an individualized plan of care is established to guide patient treatment. It is our goal to help patients return to productive lives – back to their homes, their communities, friends and families.

Lympedema management

If lymphedema is not treated correctly, it can change from a relatively mild problem into a far more serious one. The rehabilitation department at St. Catherine Hospital - Garden City offers Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT).

Therapy components consist of manual lymph drainage; compression bandaging; skin care; remedial exercises; and compression garments. Goals of therapy include early intervention and risk reduction.

Breast Cancer patients, Lymphedema patients, Phelbo-lymphostatic edema, Post surgical/post traumatic edema, Lipo-lymphedema, Lymphostatic encephalopathy, Complex regional pain syndrome, Dependent edema, Systematic diseases causing edema.

Lymphedema is referred to as a chronic disease or condition. Patients can be seen acutely after mastectomy. And, though the future holds great promise for an eventual cure, current therapeutic approaches remain focused on disease control, limb volume reduction, and improved physical and psychosocial function.
