Chief Executive Officer
Constance Schmidt, DNP, MHA, RN, FACHE, serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for St. Anthony North Health Campus (SAN), overseeing all strategic initiatives, operations, and day-to-day planning for the hospital and health campus. As the leading member the St. Anthony North Health Campus executive team, she is instrumental in developing the future strategic and operational planning for both the health campus and ambulatory market area supporting the Centura network. With more than ten years of health care leadership experience, Constance is a mission-inspired executive, and works to identify new programming and services that will increase access to care in the north metro Denver area.
Constance received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Northern Colorado, Master of Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb., and her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Executive Leadership from American Sentinel University in Aurora. Additionally, she is a board-certified member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Andrew French, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Andrew French comes to St. Anthony North from our sister hospital, Castle Rock Adventist, where he was the Chief Medical Officer since March of 2018. Prior to his role at Castle Rock, Dr. French worked as the Medical Director of the adult emergency department for Denver Health Medical Center.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. French completed his residency training at Denver Health in emergency medicine and subsequently completed a one year fellowship in emergency ultrasound. He also expects to complete his MBA in Health Administration at the University of Colorado at Denver later this year. An accomplished, enthusiastic leader, Dr. French was recognized in 2017 as one of the Denver Business Journal’s 40 under 40 for his business and community contributions.
Dr. French is on a mission to add value to people and processes.
Jessie Thurber-Dean, BSN, RN
Chief Nursing Officer
Jessie Thurber-Dean, BSN, RN, serves as Chief Nursing Officer for St. Anthony North Health Campus. She is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of St. Anthony North Health Campus and provides daily nursing leadership to ensure smooth operations and nursing practices across the organization.
Jessie joined Centura Health in 2018 as SAN’s Director of Acute Care Services. Before joining Centura Health Jessie served in different nursing roles ranging from a bedside nurse to a nursing leader.
Jessie is originally from the Midwest where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Catherine University.

Chief Financial Officer
Carol Travis joined St. Anthony North Health Campus as its Chief Financial Officer in May of 2018. In her role, Carol provides leadership and oversight of hospital operations, financial performance, and stewardship. She has been with Centura Health for nearly 15 years serving in various finance leadership roles. Carol spent time working in the hospital setting, helping our communities flourish at Littleton Adventist, Parker Adventist and Porter Adventist hospitals, and she has also worked at Centura Health’s corporate office. Prior to her work in health care, Carol worked in the assurance and advisory business services division of Ernst & Young, LLP in Denver, CO. Carol is a licensed CPA in the state of Colorado and a graduate of Colorado State University.
Director of Mission Integration
Previously she was the Vice President of Mission Leadership Integration for CHI - St. Francis Health and was responsible for advancing the mission, vision, and core values of the organization and ensuring they were applied to all organizational policies. During her time at St. Francis Health, Ann developed the Family Footprints Program, a home visitation parent education program for new parents to help prevent child abuse/neglect. The program was recognized by community stakeholders as making a real difference in the local community.
She earned her B.S. degree in Agriculture and Biological Sciences from South Dakota State University and her M.S. degree in Spirituality of Leadership Development from Neumann College.
Director of Human Resources
Emily Atencio is the Director of Human Resources for St. Anthony North Health Campus. Having worked at St. Anthony North for nearly two and a half years, Emily’s passion for our caregivers and our community has been clearly visible in her incredible work. Emily brings a broad range of HR experience to the position and truly works to grow the culture of engagement we are building at St. Anthony North, as we provide whole person care for our patients and aspire to be the health care system of choice for our community.
