The St. Thomas More Emergency Department receives more than 18,000 visits each year. It is designated a Level IV trauma center and is accessible by Flight For Life®, Colorado’s air and ground transport services to transport patients to the most appropriate medical facility for care. It is staffed 24 hours a day by skilled physicians, mid-level practitioners and nurses, who also work in partnership with nearby hospitals in Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Denver when necessary to transport patients requiring a higher level of care.
Our urgent care provides affordable, convenient medical care for you and your family through evaluation and treatment of minor illness and injuries.

Diabetes Education
Diabetes Education ClassesSt. Thomas More Hospital offers diabetic education and nutrition counseling. These one-on-one sessions are especially important if you have been newly diagnosed with diabetes. Sessions are covered by most insurances and Medicare/Medicaid.
We also offer a support group for people who have been diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes, as well as their family members and caregivers. This group provides support as you learn how to manage the disease and prevent complications. We feature guest speakers to provide education on a variety of topics, such as nutrition and fitness specialists from St. Thomas More Hospital.
