The St. Thomas More Emergency Department receives more than 18,000 visits each year. It is designated a Level IV trauma center and is accessible by Flight For Life®, Colorado’s air and ground transport services to transport patients to the most appropriate medical facility for care. It is staffed 24 hours a day by skilled physicians, mid-level practitioners and nurses, who also work in partnership with nearby hospitals in Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Denver when necessary to transport patients requiring a higher level of care.

Diabetes EducationDiabetes Education Classes
St. Thomas More Hospital offers diabetic education and nutrition counseling. These one-on-one sessions are especially important if you have been newly diagnosed with diabetes. Sessions are covered by most insurances and Medicare/Medicaid.
We also offer a support group for people who have been diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes, as well as their family members and caregivers. This group provides support as you learn how to manage the disease and prevent complications. We feature guest speakers to provide education on a variety of topics, such as nutrition and fitness specialists from St. Thomas More Hospital.
