About Asha Rizzo, NP
Asha Rizzo, NP, believes that clear communication, mutual respect, and trust is the foundation to building strong relationships with her patients. For Asha, her goal is to provide thoughtful and comprehensive care to women through all stages of life, using the most current, evidence-based practices. Asha specializes in women’s health, managing the care and treatment of obstetrical and gynecological patients, ranging from adolescence to advanced age. She provides preventive care, family planning, prenatal management, menopause care, and management of chronic illnesses and diseases.
Asha received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Denver College of Nursing, in Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Psychological studies from Keene State in New Hampshire. At Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing. Prior to becoming a family nurse practitioner, Asha worked as a certified inpatient obstetric nurse, which included working in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum unit. She cared for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients; as well as newborns, and assisting with lactation.
Originally from Vermont, Asha has called Colorado home since 2006. She enjoys hiking and skiing to the craft breweries and the amazing concert venues. Asha loves spending time with her husband, their two kids and the family dog. She is also passionate about running and often competes in half marathons.
