St. Anthony Summit Medical Center is a Level III trauma center serviced by Flight For Life® Colorado and nationally recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction. We provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Summit County and the surrounding areas including Surgical, Emergency, Critical Care, Birth Center, Orthopedic, Breast Care, Digital Mammography, Breast MRI, Radiology & Imaging, Infusion Therapy Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Summit Sleep Disorders Center, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), Gastroenterology and Total Joint Replacement.

    24/7 Emergency Care

    Locals and visitors to Summit County can rest assured that St. Anthony Summit Medical Center’s award winning emergency and orthopedic trauma care is not only conveniently located, but staffed with the very best emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, anesthesiologist, radiologists, nurses and CT techs, all in house 24 hours-a-day. Although, we are the busiest level III trauma in the state, our wait times rarely exceed a few minutes. As a Level III hospital we are well equipped to handle emergencies including: illness, heart attacks and orthopedic traumas, and for emergencies outside of our scope we have Flight For Life Colorado to transport patients to the right facility for the best care.

    Urgent Care

    Same day appointments and weekend urgent care services are available at our CHPG clinics in Breckenridge, Frisco and Silverthorne. Out of town visitors are welcome.

    St. Anthony Summit Medical Center utilizes the latest evidence-based medicine for emergency response care for heart attack victims. A team of highly trained emergency physicians and nurses respond immediately to all patients presenting to the Emergency Department for potential heart attacks.

    From the minute the patient comes to the St. Anthony Summit Emergency Department our team assesses their medical needs and rapidly prepares the patient for transfer to St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver. We treat patients with high quality care then transport them to a facility with life-saving, state-of-the-art equipment. Our transfer times exceed the expectations set by the American College of Cardiology and The Joint Commission Accreditation standards for hospitals.

    At Summit Cardiology, you'll find unparalleled compassionate care paired with the absolute best in technology, expertise and experience. All of which is good for your heart health. We offer cardiology appointments in Summit County as well as Granby and Leadville.

    Breast Surgical Care

    Breast surgeons work closely with the patient's entire breast cancer treatment team to offer an individualized treatment plan. 

    Genetic Counseling

    Those diagnosed with cancer and those who do not have cancer but have a family history of cancer may benefit from genetic counseling. During a genetic counseling visit, the genetic counselor evaluates personal and family history to determine if an individual is at increased risk for cancer and the likelihood of an inherited cancer risk.

  • Outpatient Services

    GI (Gastroenterology)

    We provide diagnostic services and treatment options for the full spectrum of GI diseases and conditions. And our GI doctors and surgeons work together to provide you with the highest quality care possible, so you can get back to an improved quality of life. 

    Outpatient Infusion Center

    Our outpatient Infusion Center is staffed by registered nurses trained in infusion and chemotherapy administration. Located in the west wing of the hospital, the Center ensures the highest quality care for patients needing IV therapies for a variety of illnesses and offers offers convenient outpatient infusion services, so patients can vacation and live where they love without compromising care. 

    We also accommodate out of town patients needing infusion while on your vacation.

    Nutrition Services

    Outpatient Nutrition Counseling Services are available at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center on Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. by appointment only.

    St. Anthony Summit Medical Center works with the excellent therapists from Avalanche Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation in areas of ohysical, occupational, and speech therapy.  

    Our specially trained therapists are ready to guide you in returning to your activities of daily living and improving your function.  The therapist will work with you to reduce pain, increase motion, increase function, and increase strength.

    Respiratory Clinic

    Ambulatory respiratory care services are available at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.

    Respiratory therapists treat lower acuity patients with a physician’s prescription by assessing and providing treatment in a safe and convenient environment. Services include performing routine EKG, ABG, asthma education and treatment plan development, 6-minute walks and pulmonary function tests.

    Pediatric patients are provided treatment with diagnosis of bronchiolitis, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and asthma education and treatment plan development.

  • Surgery Services

    St. Anthony Summit Medical Center provides surgical care within several specialties to the Summit County community. Our Surgical Services department provides patient care for orthopedic specialties in trauma, joint replacement, foot and ankle repair and sports medicine. Other surgical specialties include gynecological, general, ear, nose, throat, urology, and maxillofacial services. Our three fully integrated operating room suites are designed to provide expert and highly reliable standards of care for all procedures performed in this facility.
