The Emergency Department (ED) and Trauma Unit at Longmont United Hospital are open 24/7. The Emergency Department provides a dedicated team of physicians, physician assistants, nurses, emergency technicians, and specialists of every medical and surgical specialty to treat critically ill and injured patients.


    Pediatric Emergency Care

    If your child needs to be admitted to Longmont United Hospital, we have an 18-bed capacity on our pediatric floor with expert pediatric hospitalists always on call, as well as a Children’s Hospital Colorado neonatal nurse on staff 24/7.

    You don’t need to travel far for quality emergency care for your child should he or she need it.

    The comprehensive breast care program at Longmont United Hospital exemplifies the hospital’s commitment to your health. We offer a full range of services including our fellowship trained dedicated breast radiologists to advanced diagnostics to genetic testing and the latest in surgical techniques.

    Longmont United Hospital’s Breast Care Center was awarded a three-year designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. The NAPBC is the gold standard in breast accreditations and this seal of approval is only given to those centers that are committed to providing the highest level of quality breast care.

    In the event that a diagnostic mammogram indicates the need for further testing, patients have immediate access to additional breast diagnostic imaging procedures as well as on-site specialists including our fellowship trained dedicated breast radiologists, breast surgeon, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists.

    As a Primary Stroke Center, Longmont United Hospital has an acute stroke response team available around the clock. This team includes emergency medicine specialists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, critical care specialists, nurses and radiology technicians. Together, they provide immediate and experienced stroke expertise to determine if the latest treatments—such as clot-busting medications—can benefit a stroke patient.     Surgeons on the medical staff at Longmont United Hospital are using the da Vinci® Xi Surgical System, the latest model of the da Vinci® system. This robotic technology that allows them to perform complex procedures with small single-site incisions and far greater precision. While seated at a console next to the patient's bedside, the surgeon manipulates the da Vinci robot to address complex surgical cases with greater control and accuracy.

    The Hospital gastroenterology team also has special skills and expertise in treating specific digestive disorders such as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), colorectal cancer, diverticulitis/diverticulosis, Crohn's disease/ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, gall bladder disease, gastrointestinal bleeding and more.

Our clients' needs are always foremost to us and we continually strive to improve the manner in which our services are delivered.

    Inpatient Rehabilitation

    Our physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists work as a team to develop a comprehensive care plan for each of our patients. Physicians, nurses and other medical professionals work closely with the physical medicine team to address the needs of the patient.

Our unique partnership with the City of Longmont Senior Services Division connects us to our community and enables us to expand our health and wellness offerings.
