
Brian Erling, MD, MBA
President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Brian Erling is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. In his previous role, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for Centura Health where he was responsible for providing overall strategic direction and leadership for the establishment and sustained success of Centura Health in clinical excellence and optimal value to support whole-person care and flourishing communities. Prior to this role, Brian served as Group Chief Medical Officer for the organization’s Mountains & North Denver hospitals. A highly experienced emergency medicine specialist, Dr. Erling has long been a leader in quality improvement and was recently appointed and completed a Baldrige Executive Fellowship.
Prior to joining Centura Health, Dr. Erling served as president of the EmCare Alliance Group, a subsidiary of Envision Healthcare, a leading provider of multi-specialty physician and contract management services. He was also a founding partner of the Apex Emergency Group PC in Denver, and has served as the Denver medical director for American Medical Response, a subsidiary of Envision Healthcare and the largest international air and ground medical transport company.
Dr. Erling received his Bachelor of Science in biology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa; his Medical Doctorate from John Hopkins University in Baltimore; and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Erling is board certified through the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Kevin Cullinan, MHA
Chief Operating Officer
Kevin Cullinan, MHA, serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs. In his role, Kevin strategically carries out Centura’s mission of whole person care while overseeing the daily operations of Penrose-St. Francis. Kevin strives to manifest Centura’s faith-based mission and strategic goals through his day-to-day service while keeping patient safety and outcomes a top priority.
Kevin joined Centura Health in 2018 as the Group Vice President of Operations for Centura’s Greater Colorado and Kansas Operating Group. Prior to joining the Centura Health leadership team, Kevin served as the VP of Ancillary and Support Services at Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) St. Vincent in Little Rock, AR for six years. CHI St. Vincent is a four-hospital system with over 900 licensed beds where he oversaw the orthopedic service line, perioperative services, imaging, and many other support services. In 2017, Kevin was recognized as a recipient of the Catholic Health Association’s “Tomorrow’s Leaders” award.
Kevin obtained a BS in Business Administration from the University at Albany and received a Master’s in Health Administration from Cornell University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kirby and their children. As a lifelong soccer player, Kevin continues to play competitively and volunteers as a youth soccer coach. When he is not working or with his family, he enjoys mountain biking and playing golf. Kevin in a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Calvin Eisenach
Vice President of Operations
Calvin is responsible for all non-nursing departments at St. Francis Medical Center, such as Imaging, Lab, Pharmacy and Support Services. He is involved in the SFMC expansion project, working closely with SFMC Site Administrator Mark Hartman, the executive sponsor of the $102 million project. For the last two years, Calvin has served as the Director of Pharmacy for PSF and Director of Support Services for SFMC. A Centura Health associate since 1998, Calvin is a well-respected leader within PSF and throughout the system. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Science Degree in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Texas.

Patrick Ballard
Chief Financial Officer
Patrick has 30 years of Decision Support, Accounting and Finance experience in the health care industry, all with Penrose-St. Francis. He began his career as a Staff Accountant in Finance and has held several titles over the past 30 years, including Controller and Director of Finance since 2005. Patrick is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations at Penrose-St. Francis and will assist with strategic initiatives designed to increase our financial performance, quality and breadth of services. He leads our annual fiscal planning cycle, including strategic, capital and operational budget processes. Patrick also facilitates accurate productivity reporting and benchmarking.
Patrick has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Southern Colorado (now Colorado State University – Pueblo), and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Troy University.

Bill Plauth, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Bill Plauth is Chief Medical Officer for Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. In his previous role, Dr. Plauth served as Vice President and CMO for Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango from 2014 to 2019.
As Penrose-St. Francis’ CMO, Dr. Plauth consistently lives his mission to create an environment where all caregivers can deliver excellent, compassionate care by promoting ease of practice, respect for those who do the work and meeting patients where they are.
To accomplish this, Dr. Plauth faithfully champions the need to work with physicians and nurses as true partners with transparency and shared commitment. He has promoted clinical transformation focused on soliciting ideas from our passionate clinicians and bringing those ideas to fruition.
Dr. Plauth works closely with Penrose-St. Francis’ medical staff leadership, the physician leadership council and the and citizenship council, which help to ensure every caregiver in our organization is empowered to provide attention we can all be proud of.
Dr. Plauth, his wife Pam, and their 15-year-old son enjoy being outdoors, fly-fishing and getting back into cycling.

Rose Ann Scibona, RN, MSN, NE-BC
Chief Nursing Officer
Rose Ann began her career at Penrose Hospital in 1981 as a new graduate staff registered nurse on the Oncology Unit. Since then, she has held a variety of nursing leadership positions, including Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Manager, Director of Acute Care Services and Vice President of Nursing Services for Penrose Hospital.
Rose Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Science degree in Nursing, both from the University of Phoenix. She is Board Certified as a Nurse Executive and a member of the Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Passionate about nursing, quality, safety and supporting those who create exceptional patient experiences, Rose Ann has dedicated her entire career to Penrose-St. Francis. She has more than 36 years of clinical and health care leadership experience and she is proud to express that her values fully align with the Mission and Values of Penrose-St. Francis and Centura Health. Rose Ann is intricately familiar with our organization and has built valuable collaborative relationships across Penrose-St. Francis and Centura Health. Rose Ann is dedicated to moving health forward and building a legacy of whole person care for the Colorado Springs community.

Stacy R. Kreil DNP, RN, NE-BC
Assistant Chief Nursing Officer
Stacy Kreil is the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. Stacy joined Centura Health in 2013 as the Director of Women’s & Children’s Services at Littleton Adventist Hospital and has 30 years of nursing experience with an extensive clinical and leadership background in Women’s Health, Neonatal & Pediatric Intensive Care and Perinatal Nursing.
Stacy works closely with our Chief Nursing Officer to provide oversight of nursing practices across all settings at both Penrose Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center and works collaboratively with the executive team to drive Mission, Strategy, Quality, and Service.
Stacy obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from Northwestern State University, her Master’s in Nursing with a Specialty in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Advanced Leadership from Regis University. She is Board Certified as a Nurse Executive and a member of the American Nurses Association, Colorado Nurses Association, American Organization of Nurse Leaders, and the Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Stacy enjoys spending time with family in her free time, watching the Denver Broncos, and traveling.
As a purpose-driven leader, Stacy is on a mission to learn daily, positively impact others, and live life fully. Stacy shares that she is inspired by her associates and the accomplishments they make daily in improving outcomes for our vibrant community of Colorado Springs.
