Get With The Guidelines Resuscitation Gold Award
St. Anthony Hospital has received the Get With The Guidelines®–Resuscitation Gold Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer in-hospital cardiac arrests in the hospital.
More than 200,000 adults and children have an in-hospital cardiac arrest each year, according to the American Heart Association. The Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation program was developed with the goal to save lives of those who experience in-hospital cardiac arrests through consistently following the most up-to-date research-based guidelines for treatment. Guidelines include following protocols for patient safety, medical emergency team response, effective and timely resuscitation (CPR) and post-resuscitation care.
*The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines®-Rescuscitation Achievement Measures for two or more consecutive years to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.
ACTION Registry – GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement Award
St. Anthony Hospital has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR ACTION Registry–GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2018. The award recognizes St. Anthony Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that we have reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.
Chest Pain Center Accreditation
The Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), an international not-for-profit organization that focuses on transforming cardiovascular care, has awarded the hospital its Chest Pain Center Accreditation. The award followed a rigorous evaluation of the hospital's cardiac care outcomes, processes, collaboration with prehospital providers and its and ability to provide 24/7 interventions. By becoming an Accredited Chest Pain Center, St. Anthony Hospital has enhanced the quality of care for the acute coronary syndrome (ACS patient) and has demonstrated its commitment to higher standards.
Mission: LifeLine Heart Attack Receiving Center Accreditation
The American Heart Association has awarded St. Anthony Hospital its Mission: Lifeline® Heart Attack Receiving Center Accreditation. The accreditation program recognizes centers that meet or exceed quality of care measures for people experiencing the most severe type of heart attack, ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), in which blood flow is completely blocked to a portion of the heart. The recognition followed stringent on-site reviews by accreditation specialists from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.

The Joint Commission has awarded St. Anthony Hospital the Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification. This advanced certification, developed in collaboration with the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association, recognizes the select group of hospitals with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, staff and training necessary to receive and treat patients with the most complex strokes.
Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite
The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll Elite recognizes St.Anthony Hospital's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations. These measures include aggressive use of medications, such as tPA, antithrombotics, anticoagulation therapy, DVT prophylaxis, cholesterol reducing drugs and smoking cessation, all aimed at reducing death and disability and improving the lives of stroke patients.
To qualify for the Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite, hospitals must meet quality measures developed to reduce the time between the patient’s arrival at the hospital and treatment with the clot-buster tissue plasminogen activator, or tPA, the only drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat ischemic stroke.
The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognizes this hospital for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Performance Achievement Measures and 75% or higher compliance with five or more Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Quality Measures for two or more consecutive years and achieving Time to Thrombolytic Therapy ≤ 60 minutes 75% or more of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.

National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers
St. Anthony Hospital holds the gold standard for breast center accreditation that evaluates strengths across a wide spectrum of services including prevention, early detection, diagnosis, support staff, staging, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, the quality of the multidisciplinary team and genetic counseling. To receive accreditation, breast centers must undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of their performance and adherence to NAPBC standards. Based on these stringent, nationally recognized, evidence-based quality measures, accreditation is granted only to those centers that commit to providing the best possible comprehensive care to patients with diseases of the breast.
American College of Radiology Accreditations - mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy
St. Anthony Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in both mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed.
